Beehive Cafe & Juice Bar

I adore Beehive, it is one of a kind! The food is incredible, and Carlos's service is always delivered with a smile, and enthusiasm. The varied menu, with abundant plant based protein options (tofu, seitan, beans, lentils!), feels like home cooking. The prices are fair, and the adjacent health food store has truly everything you may need. This is my all-time favorite place to go out for food in Miami. Tell all of your friends. Or don’t and keep it a secret – this place is mineeee now!

Low key restaurant / health-focused grocery store in West Miami. One of the only vegan-exclusive places I’ve found in the area. Got the veggie sandwich (ask for sauce on the side), prescription juice, soy picadillo empanada, and a chocolate chip cookie. After canvassing the internet to find places in Miami with healthy vegan/macrobiotic food as well as local kombucha, Beehive rose to the top of the list. We love a good natural food store, and it is always a treat when they have a cafe or juice bar inside; Beehive was even better than we were hoping. After a walk around the aisles inspecting things like sprouted lentils, essential oils, and local honey, we were impressed with the wide variety of local and regional kombucha in their fridge: Brewing Life, Counter Culture, Golda, Tribucha, and Walker Bros. They also have rotating flavors of draft kombucha at their juice bar (Counter Culture at the time of our visit). After sitting down, we were warmly greeted by Carlos the owner and his friendly staff who were busily preparing smoothies and peeling sweet potatoes for their latest concoction. They have a different special meal of the day everyday; when we went, it was the “tres amigos,” which is a sweet potato/plantain mixture on top of a layer of mashed red beans, topped with homemade pico de gallo. We loved this weird and cool dish, which came with a choice of sides (e.g. brown rice, sauteed vegetables). We also enjoyed the broccoli tofu quiche and the house salad. As we sat savoring our meal and sipping kombucha, we were offered samples of various tasty things: the soup of the day, tofu chicharrones, the “hulk” smoothie, and the chagaccino drink. All delicious and “highly addictive.” The smoothies are innovative combinations of classic high quality ingredients that come together in delicious harmony. I went with a full-size version of the “iron man” and loved it. We had such a fantastic time chatting with Carlos who is clearly such a cornerstone in the Miami health food scene and has been for decades. He genuinely loves what he does, and none of his customers can resist his charm (or his killer smoothies).

Great place with vegetarian and vegan options. Carlos puts his soul into the cafe and has so many regulars. Many healthy delicious options - I want to eat and drink everything they have - salads, soups, raw cakes, baked brownies, empanadas, etc. Yummy. Can't wait to visit again.

This place is amazing!! I’m vegan and I felt like this was the holy Mecca. My mother purchased the mojito juice and I got a baked tofu sandwich which was stacked with veggies and very filling. We also got the samosa and picadillo empanadas as well as a brownie to share. Everything was excellent and there were so many samples! Next time I’ll be getting the tempeh salad and rainforest smoothie

I ordered the soy and plantain casserole pictured below that came with some steamed vegetables. I also ordered the vegetable malanga soup which was really good. I then ordered a green juice. This meal was completely meatless which I need to do more of. The green juice was straight outta the blender fresh. There was a little wait Christmas Eve 2022, but overall good

I sincerely love this place. The smoothies always taste delicious and fresh. They have all the natural herbal blends you can think of. They have seamoss! I went for thyme and licorice root. The selection was amazing and they also have a juice bar! Thank you for being kind. Can’t wait to come back

I got the “kitchen sink” smoothie and the mushroom empanada and everything was absolutely delicious! I should’ve ordered more empanadas but definitely will be back and will bring friends!
